I know I normally blog about the boys but this week has been an especially tough week for me. So I'm going to just blog about stuff. My friend Christin has a little boy who is just a little older then Hayden. He's been fighting a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma which is just a fancy name for an inoperable tumor in his brainstem. He has been battling it for the past two years. This past week he had another one of his MRI's and the tumor had not shown any growth (which is good) but they have decided to "take a break" from the non-stop 2 years of chemo. It's one of those things where you just don't know what to say because it is just such a unfair thing to watch a friend and her family go through. I'm one of those type of people who just never knows the right thing to say so I tend to say nothing. But I have been feeling for her and Kyle and his older brother Nicholas a lot this week. http://www.kyleroger.blogspot.com/ is a link to Kyle's website and there is a link on that web to Christin's personal web. It gives great insight to what she's going through.
Shannon is traveling and has been since Saturday and the kids are good but I'm getting a cold, I've been swamped at work (that's a good thing because we had a ton of press lately) and I'm just well tired. I'm hosting Thanksgiving at my house this next week and I'm so thankful to have my family over but I wish I had one more week to get ready. I just don't feel like Martha Stewart this year. I'm lucky to just going to get Turkey on the table with maybe a few candles and of course there will be wine so no one will care anyway. Just one more thing to think about....Just feeling a little overwhelmed and thougth that maybe writing it down would help.
